Little Jo’s Nursery

Our new Little Jo’s Nursery is now open. We have children who are currently attending and we have spaces available for January. Please contact the school office for further information.

Spooktacular Disco

The children enjoyed dancing and playing games at the school disco. They all had a hot dog and enjoyed having some sweet treats. There was lots of fabulous costumes and outfits.

Anti-Bullying Week

Children and staff wore odd socks or brightly coloured tights to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week and to show that we are all unique. The children loved seeing each others odd and brightly coloured socks.

Year 3 Attendance Reward Trip

Olympic Challenge

This year at St Joseph’s, we had a sponsored Olympic Challenge Day to help support the Bauleni Street Special Needs School in Lusaka, Zambia. Parliament Visit

Police Visit

Year 1 had a special visit from 2 policemen from Northumbria Police who kindly came to give them a talk and also let the children have a sit in their police car. The children had a great time and were so excited.

Year 3 Attendance Reward Trip

Year 3 had the best attendance as a class for the Autumn Term 2023. As a reward they got to go to McDonald’s for their lunch and visit the Discovery Museum where they did a workshop on Light and Shadow.

Admissions September 2024

The closing date for applications for our September 2024 Reception Class is 15 January 2024. Applications must be made on the Gateshead Council’s common application form (CAF)

Children in Need

The children raised money for Children in Need by having a non uniform day and Beat the Tiger, children enjoyed taking shots against the tiger in goal (Mr Naughton). Thank you to everyone for their donations.

World Book Day
